Cottage and Site Rules

General

  • Please feel free to walk and enjoy the grounds at your own risk.
  • Children are welcome; however, this is a country property with farm equipment and a large deep pond nearby. Caregivers are responsible for children safety.
  • For the health and safety of other guests, absolutely no smoking cigarettes, marijuana or e-cigarettes.
  • No animal in the cottage please, for your protection, as well as future guests. We are in tick country and Lyme disease is an unfortunate risk. Ticks can drop off of animals and pets even if they have been given tick and flea treatment. We do not want you to have worry about this when you are relaxing.
  • We recommend using bug spray when you are going for hikes, staying on trails and tucking pants in socks. A handy tip recommended by doctors – we have a lint roller in the closet for rolling your pant legs after hikes, especially in tall grass. We love hiking in this beautiful part of the country!
  • The water from the taps is filtered and safe to drink.

Safety

  • There is a First Aid kit with a tick kit under the sink.
  • Should you want to go for a kayak ride in the pond we have life jackets. Just let us know and we would be happy to provide them to you. Kayaks use at your own risk at arranged time. Please, supervise your children at all time!
  • We have safety rings located in a tree between the Coach House and the Iron Gazebo.
  • The BBQ and Firepits are for you to enjoy, please use at your own risk and read the safety sheet in this book. We have fire extinguishers in each kitchen. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

Limits

  • The barn, limestone house and patio, pool, green house, and duck coop are off limits.
  • Only people who reserved to stay at the cottage are allowed on the property and use of amenities including parking. Please, contact us if you want to have visitors on the property.
  • Quiet hours are 11 pm – 7 am.
